The present volume features contributions from partici-pants of the symposium, “Advances in Chiton Research,” inSeattle, Washington on 31 July 2006. As the organizer forthis symposium, I was impressed with the willingness ofnational and international authorities or students whosediverse research involves chitons to participate in thesemeetings.
