Introduction to Supersymmetry
@inproceedings{Lykken1996IntroductionTS, title={Introduction to Supersymmetry}, author={Joseph D. Lykken}, year={1996} }
These lectures give a self-contained introduction to supersymmetry from a modern perspective. Emphasis is placed on material essential to understanding duality. Topics include: central charges and BPS-saturated states, supersymmetric nonlinear sigma models, N=2 Yang-Mills theory, holomorphy and the N=2 Yang-Mills beta function, supersymmetry in 2, 6, 10, and 11 spacetime dimensions.

Introduction to supersymmetric gauge theories
- Physics
- 1997
In these lectures I present a basic introduction to supersymmetry, especially to N=1 supersymmetric gauge theories and their renormalization, in the Wess-Zumino gauge. I also discuss the various ways…
Introduction to supersymmetry
- Physics
- 2001
The goal of these lectures is to provide an insight on topics going from supersymmetry representations to supergravity, stressing on techniques useful to construct and understand phenomenological…
A Supersymmetry Primer
- Physics
- 1997
I provide a pedagogical introduction to supersymmetry. The level of discussion is aimed at readers who are familiar with the Standard Model and quantum field theory, but who have had little or no…
ABC of SUSY
- Physics
- 2009
This review is a very basic introduction to supersymmetry. It introduces the two kinds of superfields needed for supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model, the chiral superfield and the vector…
Non-perturbative Methods in Supersymmetric Theories
- Physics
- 2005
The aim of these notes is to provide a short introduction to supersymmetric theories: supersymmetric quantum mechanics, Wess-Zumino models and supersymmetric gauge theories. A particular emphasis is…
Supersymmetry in Elementary Particle Physics
- Physics
- 2008
These lectures give a general introduction to supersymmetry, emphasizing its application to models of elementary particle physics at the 100 GeV energy scale. I discuss the following topics: the…
Introduction to Supersymmetry and Supergravity
- Physics
- 2014
Supersymmetry is a symmetry between bosonic and fermionic degrees of freedom which today is one of the central topics in High Energy Physics. It also has growing applications in Mathematics and other…
Introduction to String Compactification
- Mathematics
- 2005
We present an elementary introduction to compactifications with unbroken supersymmetry. After explaining how this requirement leads to internal spaces of special holonomy we describe Calabi-Yau…
Strings, Branes and Extra Dimensions
- Physics
- 2002
This review is devoted to strings and branes. Firstly, perturbative string theory is introduced. The appearance of various types of branes is discussed. These include orbifold fixed planes, D-branes…

Twistors and supersymmetry
- Physics
- 1995
An overview is given of the application of twistor geometric ideas to supersymmetry with particular emphasis on the construction of superspaces associated with four-dimensional spacetime. Talk given…
Report of the Supersymmetry Theory Subgroup
- Physics
- 1996
The authors provide a mini-guide to some of the possible manifestations of weak-scale supersymmetry. For each of six scenarios they provide: (1) a brief description of the theoretical underpinnings;…
Supersymmetry: Where it is and how to find it
- Physics
- 1995
We present a pedagogical, but by no means complete, review of weak scale supersymmetry phenomenology. After a general introduction to the new particles that must be present in any supersymmetric…
