AIM To determine whether intravitreal injection of tacrolimus suppresses ongoing experimental autoimmune uveoretinitis (EAU) in rats. METHODS Rats were immunised with interphotoreceptor retinoid-binding protein peptide (R14) and given an intravitreal injection of tacrolimus on day 12 after immunisation.
