Status epilepticus (SE) is a frequent neurological emergency requiring immediate treatment. Therapy usually requires intravenous anticonvulsive medication. Lacosamide is a novel anticonvulsant drug that is available as infusion solution. We describe seven patients with focal SE who were treated with intravenous Lacosamide.
