Intrapulmonary surfactant catabolism was investigated by use of a phospholipase A1- and A2-resistant analogue of dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPC), 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DPC ether).
