Intracavitary urokinase therapy for multiloculated empyema caused by major leakage from intrathoracic esophagojejunostomy

Empyema following intrathoracic leakage from anastomosis is a severe complication of surgery for esophageal cancer. We present a case report of successful intracavitary urokinase therapy for pleural empyema resulting from leakage from an intrathoracic esophagojejunostomy.
