Catheter-based radiofrequency ablation with pulmonary vein (PV) isolation has emerged as an effective therapy for patients with symptomatic atrial fibrillation. Real-time intracardiac echocardiography with two-dimensional and Doppler colour flow imaging can facilitate left heart ablation procedures.
