We have previously shown the existence of ICLC in human resting mammary gland stroma by means of methylene blue (vital) staining and c-kit immunopositivity (immunofluorescence and immunohistochemistry). In addition, we reported the phenotype characteristics of these ICLC in vitro (primary cell cultures).
