Comparisons of behavior of chromosomes and characteristics of eliminated chromatin during anaphase of chromatin diminution divisions were made of Russian and German populations of Cyclops kolensis and Cyclops strenuus strenuus. Differences in cytogenetic features included timing and amount of eliminated chromatin. Differences were also marked in duration of chromatin diminution, as well as timing and location of eliminated DNA between Russian and German populations of C. strenuus strenuus.
