The method of horizontal scaled factorial moments as outlined by Bialas and Peschanski was used to conduct intermittency analysis for pp collisions at √ s = 0.9, 7 and 8 TeV from the CMS experiment. The data was obtained and processed from the CERN Open Data Portal. It was found from 1D analysis that the intermittency strength decreases with increasing energy, indicating that the signature of the α-model of random cascading that the former is based on seems to be weakening. Intermittency was…

Multidimensional intermittency analysis

We propose a method to perform the intermittency analysis of multi hadron production in up to three momentum space dimensions. The analysis of realistic (approximately) selfsimilar cascade models

Multifractality and high energy multiparticle production

The multifractal behaviours of the various types of high energy collisions are analyzed using the normalized factorial moments which are calculated from the experimental data. Thef(α) curves for the

Extremely High Multiplicities in High-Energy Nucleus Nucleus Collisions

Two unusually-high-multiplicity interactions of high-energy heavy nuclei are observed in a balloon-borne emulsion chamber: A Si+AgBr event (4 TeV/nucleon) and a Ca+C event (100 TeV/nucleon), with
