Existence of different types of interference in the spectrum of radiation emitted by a doubly hard scattered electron is demonstrated. The spectrum develops oscillations in two regions: the hard, where the oscillations depend on the electron Lorentz factor, and the soft, where the oscillations depend on the electron scattering angles. This interference pattern owes to the presence of jetlike radiation configurations, formed by a piecewise-rectilinearly moving electron and the accompanying…

Separation Of Edge Effects In Highly Non-Dipole Radiation Spectra

Edge effects in spectra of non-dipole radiation from ultra-relativistic electrons passing through various finite targets are analyzed from a unified point of view. Examples include radiation in a

Tips for deciphering and quick calculation of radiation spectra

Radiation spectra from ultra-relativistic electrons in thin [T≪ lf(ω)] and thick [T≫ lf(ω)] targets are discussed. The method of simplified averaging is described by examples of

Spectral-angular distributions of radiation from relativistic electrons in a thin layer of matter

Expressions for the spectral-angular density of bremsstrahlung from a relativistic electron in a thin layer of matter are obtained. The effect that the multiple scattering of electrons by medium

Constructive interference in the spectrum of bremsstrahlung on two amorphous targets

We investigate the interference pattern in the spectrum of nondipole bremsstrahlung on two amorphous foils. It contains a suppression at lowest photon energies, an enhancement in the neighboring

Experimental study of the radiation emitted by 180-GeV/c electrons and positrons volume-reflected in a bent crystal

volume-reflected electrons and positrons impinging on a bent crystalhas been measured by the H8RD22 Collaboration on the H8 beamline at the CERN SPS. A dedicated spec-trometer has been developed to

Model solution for volume reflection of relativistic particles in a bent crystal

For volume reflection process in a bent crystal, exact analytic expressions for positively- and negatively-charged particle trajectories are obtained within a model of parabolic continuous potential

Observation of deflection of a beam of multi-GeV electrons by a thin crystal.

These are the first quantitative measurements of channeling and volume reflection using a primary beam of multi-GeV electrons using a quasimosaic, bent silicon (111) crystal.

QCD coherence in high-energy reactions

The authors review the ideas and manifestations of QCD coherence in high-energy reactions producing jets. They suggest experiments involving two-jet production, high-p/sub perpendicular/..gamma..

VUV range edge radiation in electron storage rings

The electron edge radiation produced in the fringe field of a storage ring bending magnet is computed according to classical electrodynamics. The computation data show that the edge radiation in the
