A cognitive radio (CR) network seeks to reuse the underutilized spectrum of legacy wireless systems and often operates in an interference-intensive environment. In this paper, we review a number of interference cancellation (IC) techniques and investigate their applicability to CR networks for mitigating inter-network interference.
