The present study addressed links between progestin and heregulin (HRG) signaling pathways in mammary tumors. An experimental model of hormonal carcinogenesis, in which the synthetic progestin medroxyprogesterone acetate (MPA) induced mammary adenocarcinomas in female Balb/c mice, was used.
