O-Ethyl S-[2-(diisopropylamino)ethyl] methylphosphonothioate (MPT) is an active site directed inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase (AChE). Inhibition of the Electrophorus electricus (G4) enzyme follows classical second-order kinetics.
