Now, a new generation of technologies from Intel, InterSystems, and VMware offers significant advances in scalable, high-throughput solutions for Epic’s electronic medical record (EMR) systems. To explore the scalability impact of these new technologies, Epic and InterSystems engineers conducted a series of performance tests with the four-socket Intel® Xeon® processor E7-8890 v3, InterSystems Caché® 2015.1, Epic® EMR software, and a beta version of VMware ESXiTM 6.0.
