We measured body size and reproductive traits of blue-tailed skinks (Eumeces elegans) from two localities at different latitudes in Eastern China to reveal their inter-population differences in reproductive life-history strategies sp. Females from Ningde, the locality at a lower latitude, produced their eggs from 27th May to 22nd June; whereas females from Hangzhou, the locality at a higher latitude, produced eggs from 4th June to 12th July. Snout-vent lengths of the minimum reproductive female…
Are lizards feeling the heat? A tale of ecology and evolution under two temperatures
TLDR
A large (861 species) global dataset of lizard body temperatures was used, and the mean annual temperatures across their geographic ranges were examined to examine the relationships between body andmean annual temperatures.
Complete mitochondrial genome of Eumeces elegans (Squamata: Scincidae)
TLDR
The complete mitochondrial genome of Eumeces elegans was sequenced and characterized and the total length was 17,304 bp with 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNAs, two rRNAs and a control regions.
