Newly synthesized wheat-rye allopolyploids, derived from Triticum aestivum Mianyang11 × S. cereale Kustro, were investigated by sequential fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) and genomic in situ hybridization (GISH) using rye tandem repeat pSc200 and rye genomic DNA as probes, respectively, over the first, second and third allopolyploid generations.
