Aim. The aim of this paper is to report a novel intensive therapy of gynoid lipodystrophy (cellulite) based on a new hypothesis. Methods. Were evaluated in 10 patients with ages ranging between 25 and 59 years (mean 35.6 years) grade IV cellulite identified by clinical evaluation. Before initiating treatment, perimetry was performed at 5 cm intervals along both thighs, at the gluteal fold, 5, 10, and 15 cm above the gluteal fold, at the navel, and 5 cm above the navel. The patients were…
Considering the hypothesis of the pathophysiology of cellulite in its treatment
TLDR
A significant reduction in size was seen with the clinical treatment of cellulite giving an improvement in the physical appearance, and pathophysiological mechanisms such as regional skin lymphostasis seem to be involved in the formation of cellulites.
Longitudinal evaluation of manual lymphatic drainage for the treatment of gynoid lipodystrophy*
TLDR
Manual lymphatic drainage was safe but not effective as an isolated approach for cellulite management, as unique or combined therapeutic modality, are necessary.
Cellulite: An Evidence-Based Review
TLDR
No clear evidence of good efficacy could be identified in any of the evaluated cellulite treatments, and some evidence for potential benefit was only seen for acoustic wave therapy (AWT) and the 1440 nm Nd:YAG minimally invasive laser.
Treatment of Dimpling from Cellulite
TLDR
The study has shown the effectiveness and safety of the manual subcision in the treatment of dimpling to be very helpful and effective in terms of practical use, aesthetic outcome and safety, with various advantages compared with other commonly used devices.
Effects of Kinesio Taping® in treatment of Cellulite: Randomized controlled blind trial.
TLDR
It can be concluded that treatment with KT was able to significantly decrease the grade of cellulite, so that the variables evaluated by the protocol probably not influence this process.
Clinical Efficacy of a New Hypertonic Draining Cream in the Treatment of Cellulite: A Randomized, Double Blind Right-vs-Left Placebo-Controlled Trial
TLDR
This new HTC has shown a superior clinical efficacy in comparison with the vehicle cream in improving both objective and subjective assessments of cellulite parameters.
Correlação entre alinhamento pélvico e fibroedema geloide
TLDR
There was no correlation between pelvic alignment and the level of cellulitis in the gluteal region by photogrammetry, and Pearson correlation tests investigated possible relationships between posture and cellulitis.
Cellulite treatment: a comprehensive literature review
TLDR
It is still difficult to indicate an exclusive and effective single treatment for cellulite reduction, and the mean difference of clinical morphologic features and ultrastructural changes between the treated group and the controlled showed significant heterogeneity between studies.
Dry cupping therapy decreases cellulite in women: A pilot study
TLDR
The results indicate for the first time in humans that dry moving cupping therapy might be effective on cellulite, and may cause the drainage of interstitial fluid and its elements into blood and lymphatic capillaries, especially lipids in cellulite.
Cellulite: A Combine Treatment with Mesotherapy, Laser and Radiofrequency
TLDR
Combined therapies with mesotherapy, laser and radiofrequency provided better therapeutic outcomes, such as, pitting reduction, improvement of the skin texture and body contour.

Treatment of cellulite based on the hypothesis of a novel physiopathology
TLDR
This technique of lymphatic system stimulation is efficacious in the treatment of cellulite, consisting of manual and mechanical lymph drainage and cervical stimulation using the Godoy and Godoy technique.
Cellulite: a new treatment approach combining subdermal Nd: YAG laser lipolysis and autologous fat transplantation.
TLDR
The treatment of severe cases of cellulite by a combination of 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser lipolysis and autologous fat transplantation proved to be both safe and effective and represents a new treatment option for the ubiquitous cellulite disorder.
Cellulite: nature and aetiopathogenesis
TLDR
Over the last few decades, three major conflicting theories have emerged in relation to the ethiopathogenesis of cellulite and these indicate, respectively, the following causes.
Preliminary evaluation of a new, more simplified physiotherapy technique for lymphatic drainage.
TLDR
This new manual lymph drainage technique efficiently reduces peripheral lymphedema and is less cumbersome and time consuming than standard combined ("decongestive") physiotherapy methods.

TLDR
It is quite possible, however, that synergies between both oral and topical routes may be the best intervention to ameliorate the signs and symptoms of cellulite.
Physiopathological Hypothesis of Cellulite
TLDR
This novel approach brings a modern physiological concept with physiopathologic basis and clinical proof of the hypothesis for cellulite and confirmed that the clinical response is compatible with this hypothesis.
An evidence-based assessment of treatments for cellulite.
TLDR
The currently available data about cellulite treatments including noninvasive devices such as massage, radiofrequency, and laser and light-based treatments; invasive modalities including liposuction, mesotherapy, and subcision; and other treatments including topical creams and carboxy therapy are reviewed.
A multicenter study of cellulite treatment with a variable emission radio frequency system
TLDR
The RF technology used in the present multicenter study improved the general aspect of skin and cellulite, with high patient Satisfaction Index, and maintenance sessions might lead to even better and longer‐lasting results.
Development and evaluation of a new apparatus for lymph drainage: preliminary results.
TLDR
This preliminary study suggests that the new apparatus was easily tolerated, enhanced lymph flow as assessed by lymphscintigraphy, and may have benefits as an adjunctive treatment, and further clinical studies are necessary to fully evaluate its use.

TLDR
The majority of women suffer from the unattractive sight of dimpling skin on the thighs and buttocks, globally known as cellulite, which leads to controversy regarding the investigative methods for cellulite reduction as well as the development of products to treat cellulite skin.
