In this study, mild acid hydrolysis using γ-valerolactone (GVL)/water system integrated with enzymatic hydrolysis was carried out for the enhancement of enzymatic saccharification efficiency. The quantitative analysis of soluble carbohydrates and structural characterizations of solid residues were conducted.
