Abstract
Daily subcutaneous injections of lente insulin reduced the hypertension and bradycardia which developed consistently in streptozotocin diabetic rats. Insulin-treated rats also became less hyperglycemic, drank less water, and gained weight faster than untreated diabetic controls.
