The EBI (BARD-XT, C.R. Bard, Murray Hill, NJ) stent is a new radiopaque balloon expandable coronary stent with high resistance to external radial forces. It does not shorten significantly with expansion and allows stent implantation in bifurcation lesions. A total of 28 EBI stents were implanted in 23 lesions in 21 patients.
