Seventeen day chicken embryonic osteoblasts treated over a 30-day period with 1,25(OH)2 D3 showed a 2-10-fold decrease in collagen, osteopontin and osteocalcin protein accumulation, alkaline phosphatase enzyme activity, and mineral deposition.
