Atractylon, a main sesquiterpenic constituent of Atractylodes rhizomes, was studied for the mechanism of its inhibitory effects on the tert-butyl hydroperoxide (t-BHP)-induced cytotoxicity and lipid peroxidation in primary culture of rat hepatocytes.
