The influence of muzolimine on the transport of Na+, K+ and Cl− was studied in Ehrlich cells to test whether the diuretic inhibits the furosemide-sensitive Na+−K+−2Cl−-cotransport or transport via the ouabain-sensitive Na+/K+-pump.
