Recently, epidemiological and experimental studies have linked hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy) to insulin resistance. However, whether HHcy impairs glucose homeostasis by affecting glycogenesis in the liver is not clear. In the present study, we investigated the effect of HHcy on hepatic glycogen synthesis.
