PURPOSE AND EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN New therapies against cancer are based on targeting cyclooxygenase (COX)-2. Activation of the endothelin A receptor (ET(A)R) by endothelin (ET)-1 is biologically relevant in several malignancies, including ovarian carcinoma.
