Inhibition of a Cl-/HCO3(-)ATPase in the avian salt gland by furosemide and ethacrynic acid.


An ouabain-insensitive, Mg2+-dependent, chloride- and bicarbonate-stimulated ATPase is present in salt gland homogenates of domestic ducks (Anas platyrhynchos).
