Abstract
6-Phosphogluconate is a much more effective inhibitor of the photosynthetic carboxylation enzyme, ribulose-1,5-diphosphate carboxylase, than other sugar phosphates and sugar acids of the reductive and oxidative pentose phosphate cycles.
