Colon cancer is a highly metastatic gastrointestinal cancer. BMP activin membrane-bound inhibitor (BAMBI), as a pseudo-receptor of the tumor growth factor (TGF)-β signal transduction pathway, has previously been demonstrated to be involved in human cancers.
