Inheritance of resistance to zucchini yellow mosaic virus (ZYMV) in the interspecific cross Cucurbita maxima × C. ecuadorensis was studied in generations P1, P2, F1, F2, BCP1 and BCP2. The continuous variation presented in these generations implies a quantitative inheritance. The resistance in C. ecuadorensis was partially dominant over that of sensitivity in C. maxima.
