ItAmoeba proteus, A. dubia, A. dofleini, orA. radiosa is put into a solution of albumin or into a hypertonic balanced salt solution or a hypertonic solution of calcium gluconate, it rapidly decreases in volume, then numerous tubes filled with fluid are formed.
