We consider generation of diffusive radiation by a charged particle passing through a random stack of plates in the infrared region. Diffusive radiation originates due to multiple scattering of pseudophotons on the plates. To enhance the radiation intensity one needs to make the scattering more effective. For this goal we suggest to use materials with negative dielectric constant .

Radiation of Channeled Positrons in Ultrasonic Wave

In the classical approximation, we examine the problem of radiation by channeled positrons in the field of a longitudinal ultrasonic wave when the condition of parametric resonance is satisfied. We

Spontaneous Radiation in Relativistic Strophotron

Spectral intensity of spontaneous radiation is calculated in relativistic strophotron. It is shown, that it in the strophotron is given by a superposition of contributions from emission at different

Absorption and Emission in a Free Electron Lasers

Multiphoton processes in undulators with plane polarized magnetic field are considered. It is shown that the use of strong magnetic fields in the undulator, for beams with relatively low energy makes

Averaging of Spontaneous Radiation in Relativistic Strophotron

The main resonance frequency is shown to depend on the initial conditions of the electron, and in particular on its initial transversal coordinate xo. This dependence is shown to give rise to a very

The emitted energy in RS

The emitted energy of electrons is calculated in relativistic strophotron. It is shown, that it is superposition of amplification at harmonics of main resonance frequency of the system.

Electron Dynamics in Relativistic Strophotron

. Relativistic strophotron is a system in which fast electrons move along a potential “trough” produced by quadrupole electric lenses. Equations of motion in the strophotron field are investigated

Threshold behavior of free electron lasers without inversion

The interaction between noncolinear laser and relativistic electron beams in static magnetic undulator has been studied within the framework of dispersion equations. For a free-electron laser without

The Gain in RS

The calculated linear gain in relativistic strophotron is averaged over electron distribution. It is shown, that after averaging resonance peaks remain in amplification spectrum. The nonresonant

Quadrupole lenses scheme for RS FEL

The scheme with quadrupole lenses is presented for realization relativistic strophotron type Free electron laser. Equations of motion are solved and trajectories are found. It is shown, that movement

Positron Channeling

The possibility of channeling the low-energy relativistic positrons around separate crystallographic axes with coaxial symmetry of negative ions in some types of crystals is shown. The process of
