AIM To investigate dye permeability of root dentine according to patients' age, root section and dye penetration time. METHODOLOGY A total of 96 extracted human single-rooted teeth, assigned to four age groups (<30, 30-45, 45-60 and >60 years) were separated at the cemento-enamel junction and root canals were enlarged.
