We report for the first time some effects of colonization by an arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungus (Glomus mosseae) on the biomass and arsenate uptake of an As hyperaccumulator, Pteris vittata. Two arsenic levels (0 and 300 mg As kg−1) were applied to an already contaminated soil in pots with two compartments for plant and hyphal growth in a glasshouse experiment.
