Chronic atrial fibrillation (AF) is a complication associated with the dilated atria of patients with valvular heart disease and contributes to worsened pathology. We examined microRNA (miRNA) expression profiles in right and left atrial appendage tissue from valvular heart disease (VHD) patients.
