  • OBJECTIVE To characterize the response of equine jejunal smooth muscle to adrenergic and cholinergic mediators. DESIGN Evaluation of myogenic responses, using an in vitro model. SAMPLE POPULATION Intestinal tissues were obtained from horses without gastrointestinal tract disorders or systemic disease.
