〔目的〕本研究では,足趾把持筋力トレーニングが最大速度歩行の床反力に及ぼす影響を検討することを目的とした。〔対象〕健常な学生27名とした。〔方法〕対象者を男女別に無作為にトレーニング群,対照群に振り分けた。足趾把持筋力,10 m最大速度歩行時の速度,歩数,歩行率,歩幅,最大速度歩行時の床反力を介入期間の前と後に測定した。トレーニング群には4週間の足趾把持筋力トレーニングを行わせ,対照群には普段通りの生活をさせた。〔結果〕トレーニング群は有意に足趾把持筋力が増強し,10 m最大歩行速度が速くなった。また,床反力横方向第3波,歩行率において増加傾向がみられた。〔結語〕蹴り出しにおける脚の運びの方向性が適正化することで,歩行率が改善し,最大歩行速度が向上する可能性が示唆された。また,最大歩行速度向上に対して床反力垂直方向の最大波に増加がみられなかったことから,足趾による制動力が高まったことでソフトに踵接地でき,踵接地による衝撃が減少したことが示唆された。
