Influence of Moringa oleifera on Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver in Adult Albino Rats

title={Influence of Moringa oleifera on Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver in Adult Albino Rats},
author={Mona S. Halaby and Maha Mohamed Essam El-din and Nada Emara},
The main target of this study was to investigate the beneficial effects of Moringa oleifera (MO) (leaves and roots) on nutritional values, protection against oxidative stress and hepato protective activity of non alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in adult albino rats. Forty-two rats were used in this experiment. These rats were put on ideal diet for one week before the performance of the experiment. At the beginning, these rats were divided into 6 main groups (seven rats of each) and fed on…

The Effect of Moringa Leaves Powder on Hypercholesterolemic Male Rats and the Possibility of Adding to some Vegetable Recipes

  • 2020
The aim of the current research was to examine the effect of moringa (Moringa oleifera) leaves on hypercholesterolemic male rats and the possibility of adding it to some vegetable recipes (peas with

Effect of Ginger and curcum powder on fatty liver in Male Albino Rats intoxicated with oxytetracycline

Diet fortified with 2.5% and 5% ginger and curcum powder helped to improve blood lipid levels, liver and kidney function compared with the positive control group (injected with oxytetracycline) which were considered as a major risk factor for fatty liver disease.

Effect of Lion’s Foot ( Alchemilla vulgaris ) on Liver and Renal Functions in Rats Induced by CCl 4

The present work aims to study the influence of antioxidants activity of lion’s foot (Alchemilla vulgaris) leaves at different concentrations to give more protection against chronic liver disease.

Effect of Moringa Oleifera on serum lipids and kidney function of hyperlipidemic rats 1

The present work aims to study the potential effect of fortified bread with Moringa Oleiferato (MO) leaves powder under 5%, 10% & 15% concentrations to give more protection against hyperlipidemia

This work is aimed at determining the hepatoprotective effects of Moringa oleifera on liver of adult wistar rats. Twenty four wistar rats weighing between 190 – 230kg were used. They were divided

Moringa oleifera Lam. leaf extract prevents early liver injury and restores antioxidant status in mice fed with high-fat diet.

Results indicated that MoLE has both preventive as also curative hepatoprotective activity and significant increase in endogenous antioxidant parameters and lower lipid peroxidation were found in liver of all MoLE treated groups.

Hepatoprotective Effect of Ethanolic Leave Extract of Moringa oleifera on the Histology of Paracetamol Induced Liver Damage in Wistar Rats

The histological observations showed that the leave extract of Moringa oleifera was hepatoprotective, and this effect was evaluated on the Histology of the liver of wistar rats.

Ameliorative Potential of Tamarindus indica on High Fat Diet Induced Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in Rats

Treatment with ETS at all tested dose levels significantly attenuated the pathological alterations associated with HFD induced NAFLD and markedly reduced body weight and adiposity along with an improvement in insulin resistance index.

Role of Moringa oleifera leaf extract in the regulation of thyroid hormone status in adult male and female rats.

The role of Moringa oleifera aqueous leaf extract in the regulation of thyroid hormone status, and the activities of antioxidant enzymes, superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT) were evaluated, were studied in adult Swiss rats.

Moringa oleifera Lam prevents acetaminophen induced liver injury through restoration of glutathione level.

Therapeutic Potential of Moringa oleifera Leaves in Chronic Hyperglycemia and Dyslipidemia: A Review

Before M. oleifera leaf formulations can be recommended as medication in the prevention or treatment of diabetes and CVD, it is necessary that the scientific basis of their efficacy, the therapeutic modalities of their administration and their possible side effects be more rigorously determined.

Attenuation of lipid peroxidation and hyperlipidemia by quercetin glucoside in the aorta of high cholesterol-fed rabbit

Results strongly suggest that quercetin glucosides accumulate in the aorta as their metabolites and attenuate lipid peroxidation occurring in theAorta, along with the attenuation of hyperlipidemia.
