The influence of ionizing radiation on the transmittance spectra of two types of optical glass have been studied at different dose levels to evaluate the impact of space radiation on spacecraft optics. The transmittance spectra of optical glasses is very sensitive to radiation in the blue region for total doses higher than 10 krad(Si).
