Abstract In 102 children of both genders aged between 10 and 12 years affected by iron deficiency anaemia (IDA) from various causes, a retrospective study from 1999 to 2007 has been performed to investigate possible relationships between IDA and physical growth. Patients were divided into two groups according to gender.
