BACKGROUND Infection is a serious adverse effect of prostate biopsy (P-Bx), and recent reports suggest an increasing incidence. OBJECTIVE The aim of this multinational multicentre study was to evaluate prospectively the incidence of infective complications after P-Bx and identify risk factors.
