We investigate the modal properties of inertial modes of rotating neutron stars with a core filled with neutron and proton superfluids, taking account of entrainment effects between the superfluids. In this paper, the entrainment effects are modelled by introducing a parameter η so that there is no entrainment state at η = 0. We find that inertial modes of rotating neutron stars with a superfluid core are split into two families, which we call ordinary fluid inertial modes (i o -modes) and…
Inertial modes of non-stratified superfluid neutron stars
We present results concerning adiabatic inertial-mode oscillations of non-stratified superfluid neutron stars in Newtonian gravity, using the anelastic and slow-rotation approximations. We consider a
Inertial modes in stratified rotating neutron stars: An evolutionary description
With (nonbarotropic) equations of state valid even when the neutron, proton, and electron content of neutron star cores is not in beta equilibrium, we study inertial and composition gravity modes of
Quasinormal modes of superfluid neutron stars
We study non-radial oscillations of neutron stars with superfluid baryons, in a general relativistic framework, including finite temperature effects. Using a perturbative approach, we derive the
Dissipation in relativistic superfluid neutron stars
We analyze damping of oscillations of general relativistic superfluid neutron stars. To this aim we extend the method of decoupling of superfluid and normal oscillation modes first suggested in
Oscillations of rapidly rotating superfluid stars
Using time evolutions of the relevant linearized equations, we study non-axisymmetric oscillations of rapidly rotating and superfluid neutron stars. We consider perturbations of Newtonian
Dynamics of dissipative multifluid neutron star cores
We present a Newtonian multifluid formalism for superfluid neutron star cores, focusing on the additional dissipative terms which arise when one takes into account the individual dynamical degrees of
Lagrangian perturbation theory of non-relativistic rotating superfluid stars
We develop a Lagrangian perturbation framework for rotating non-relativistic superfluid neutron stars. This leads to the first generalization of classic work on the stability properties of rotating
R-modes and neutron star recycling scenario
To put new constraints on the r-mode instability window, we analyse the formation of millisecond pulsars (MSPs) within the recycling scenario, making use of three sets of observations: (a) X-ray

r-Modes of Neutron Stars with Superfluid Cores
We investigate the modal properties of the r-modes of rotating neutron stars with the core filled with neutron and proton superfluids, taking account of entrainment effects between the superfluids.
r -modes in superfluid neutron stars
The analogues of r-modes in superfluid neutron stars are studied here. These modes, which are governed primarily by the Coriolis force, are identical to their ordinary-fluid counterparts at the
Adiabatic oscillations of non-rotating superfluid neutron stars
We present results concerning the linear (radial and non-radial) oscillations of non-rotating superfluid neutron stars in Newtonian physics. We use a simple two-fluid model to describe the superfluid
On the dynamics of superfluid neutron star cores
We discuss the nature of the various modes of pulsation of superfluid neutron stars using comparatively simple Newtonian models and the Cowling approximation. The matter in these stars is described
Inertial Modes of Slowly Rotating Isentropic Stars
We investigate inertial mode oscillations of slowly and uniformly rotating, isentropic, Newtonian stars. Inertial mode oscillations are induced by the Coriolis force due to the star's rotation, and
Quasinormal modes of general relativistic superfluid neutron stars
We develop a general formalism to treat, in general relativity, the linear oscillations of a two-fluid star about static (non-rotating) configurations. Such a formalism is intended for neutron stars,
r-modes in relativistic superfluid stars
We discuss the modal properties of the r modes of relativistic superfluid neutron stars, taking account of the entrainment effects between superfluids. In this paper, the neutron stars are assumed to
Rotational modes of non-isentropic stars and the gravitational radiation driven instability
We investigate the properties of r-mode and inertial mode of slowly rotating, non-isentropic, Newtonian stars, by taking account of the effects of the Coriolis force and the centrifugal force. For
A new class of g-modes in neutron stars
Because a neutron star is born hot, its internal composition is close to chemical equilibrium. In the fluid core, this implies that the ratio of the number densities of charged particles (protons

We develop a general formalism to treat, in general relativity, the nonradial oscillations of a superfluid neutron star about static (non-rotating) configurations. The matter content of these stars
