A bstractWe analyse effective potential around the electroweak (EW) scale in the Standard Model (SM) extended with a heavy scalar doublet. We show that the additional scalars can have a strong impact on vacuum stability. Although the additional heavy scalars may improve the behaviour of running Higgs self-coupling at large field values, we prove that they can destabilise the vacuum due to EW-scale effects. A new EW symmetry conserving minimum of the effective potential can appear rendering the…
Scrutinizing vacuum stability in IDM with Type-III inverse seesaw
We consider the extension of the Standard Model (SM) with an inert Higgs doublet that also contains two or three sets of $SU(2)_L$ triplet fermions with hypercharge zero and analyze the stability of
Higgs boson and vacuum stability in models with extended scalar sector
In this dissertation Two-Higgs-Doublet Models (2HDMs) with a Z2-symmetric scalar potential are studied from different perspectives. Two kinds of models, which differ by the choice of the vacuum
Scalar potential of two-Higgs doublet models
We perform a detailed analysis of the Two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) potential. At the tree-level, the potential may accommodate more than one minima, one of them being the electroweak (EW) minimum
Status of the Inert Doublet Model of dark matter after Run-1 of the LHC
The Inert Doublet Model (IDM) is one of the simplest extensions of the Standard Model that can provide a viable dark matter (DM) candidate. Despite its simplicity, it predicts a versatile
Constraining the Inert Doublet Model using Vector Boson Fusion
In this work, we use a recast of the Run II search for invisible Higgs decays within Vector Boson Fusion to constrain the parameter space of the Inert Doublet model, a two Higgs doublet model with a
Prospects for charged Higgs searches at the LHC
The goal of this report is to summarize the current situation and discuss possible search strategies for charged scalars, in non-supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model at the LHC. Such
Benchmarking the Inert Doublet Model for e+e− colliders
A bstractWe present benchmarks for the Inert Doublet Model, a Two Higgs Doublet Model with a dark matter candidate. They are consistent with current constraints on direct detection, including the
Distinguishing inert Higgs doublet and inert triplet scenarios
In this article we consider a comparative study between Type-I 2HDM and $Y=0$, $SU(2)$ triplet extensions having one $Z_2$-odd doublet and triplet that render the desired dark matter(DM). For the
One-loop contributions to neutral minima in the inert doublet model
A bstractThe vacuum structure of the inert doublet model is analysed at the one-loop level using the effective potential formalism, to verify the validity of tree-level predictions for the properties

Higgs Vacuum Stability in a Mass-Dependent Renormalisation Scheme
Using a physical renormalisation scheme we derive mass-dependent renormalisation group equations for the running of the Higgs quartic coupling within the Standard Model. Subsequently, we accurately
Improved Electroweak Phase Transition with Subdominant Inert Doublet Dark Matter
The inert doublet dark matter model has recently gained attention as a possible means of facilitating a strongly first order electroweak phase transition (EWPT), as needed for baryogenesis. We extend
Top mass determination, Higgs inflation, and vacuum stability
A bstractThe possibility that new physics beyond the Standard Model (SM) appears only at the Planck scale MP is often considered. However, it is usually assumed that new physics interactions at MP do
Higgs mass and vacuum stability in the Standard Model at NNLO
A bstractWe present the first complete next-to-next-to-leading order analysis of the Standard Model Higgs potential. We computed the two-loop QCD and Yukawa corrections to the relation between the
Investigating the near-criticality of the Higgs boson
A bstractWe extract from data the parameters of the Higgs potential, the top Yukawa coupling and the electroweak gauge couplings with full 2-loop NNLO precision, and we extrapolate the SM parameters
Higher-order scalar interactions and SM vacuum stability
A bstractInvestigation of the structure of the Standard Model effective potential at very large field strengths opens a window towards new phenomena and can reveal properties of the UV completion of
Lifetime of the electroweak vacuum and sensitivity to Planck scale physics
If the Standard Model (SM) is valid up to extremely high energy scales, then the Higgs potential becomes unstable at approximately 1 0 11 GeV . However, calculations of the lifetime of the SM vacuum
