Green tea catechins (GTCs) including (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), (-)-epigallocatechin (EGC), (-)-epicatechin-3-gallate (ECG) and (-)-epicatechin (EC) were shown to suppress cell growth and induce apoptosis in various cell systems in addition to their chemo-preventive effect.
