The effects of 10(-4)M indomethacin on tissue prostaglandin E2 levels, cyclic AMP concentrations, and acid secretion as measured by the intraglandular accumulation of [14C]aminopyrine were evaluated in unstimulated and histamine-stimulated isolated rabbit fundic glands. Indomethacin (10(-4)M) reduced endogenous prostaglandin E2 content by 52% in unstimulated glands.
