Different plant wastes containing digestible volatile solids were tested in admixture with gobar (dung) for their effect in increasing methane output in anaerobic digestion. A mixture of gobar, algae and waterhyacinth in 1 : 1 : 1 proportion produced 79% methane. Parameter affecting the biogas production kinetics are described.
