Regulation of thyrotropin (TSH) release by thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH) in the anterior pituitary gland (AP) of pregnant rats was studied. The pregnant (day 7, 14, and 21) and diestrous rats were decapitated. AP was divided into 2 halves, and then incubated with Locke's solution at 37 degrees C for 30 min following a preincubation.
