The transgenic Tg2576 mouse is a widely used animal model that develops some of the cognitive and neuropathological deteriorations observed in patients suffering Alzheimer's disease. The authors investigated 9-month-old Tg2576 mice with respect to behavioral and endocrinological (hypothalamic- pituitary-adrenal [HPA] axis activity) parameters.
