Recent findings suggest that oxidative stress caused by dopamine could be closely involved in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease (PD). tert-Butylhydroquinone (tBHQ) is known as a strong inducer of phase II detoxification enzymes which have antioxidative functions.
