Inactivation of muscle adenylate kinase by site-specific destruction of tyrosine 95 using potassium ferrate.

Potassium ferrate, an analog of orthophosphate and a potent oxidizing agent, was found to irreversibly inactivate porcine muscle adenylate kinase.
